Job Purpose

The WSH officer assists to review, develop, and implement WSH & Quality policies and programs, to support Sentosa Express in meeting Workplace Safety & Health Regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overall responsible for the safety of the Sentosa Monorail system including both the O&M activities and works performed by OEM/ Contractors.
  • Report directly to the O&M Manager on all safety-related matters.
  • Support Quality Control/Quality Assurance plan and activities.
  • Carry out on-site inspections to maintain or raise awareness of safety issues and make sure the issues are being addressed.
  • Ensure operational and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Carry out investigation of incidents for safety-related issues
  • Conduct regular briefings, events, and activities to promote safety awareness and drive a positive safety culture for staff.
  • Submit all safety-related reports.
  • To carry out risk assessment for the workplace and prepare risk register.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Working location at Sentosa.

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Recognized Degree or equivalent in any Engineering, with at least two (2) years of relevant working experience as qualified as WSH Officer, preferably in the rail industry, or
  • Recognized Diploma or equivalent in Engineering, with at least five (5) years of relevant working experience as WSH Officer, preferably in the rail industry.

Skills and Competencies

  • Good knowledge on Workplace Safety and Health Act, Regulations, Code of Practices and Singapore Standards
  • Proficient in WSH Risk Management
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good time management
