THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Continuity Planning:
- Develop and update business continuity plans to address potential threats and risks to the organization's operations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify critical business processes and establish recovery time objectives.
- Audit the process for regularly reviewing and updating the BCP to reflect changes in the business environment, technology, or staffing.
Risk Assessment:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas of improvement in business continuity strategies.
- Analyze and prioritize risks, providing recommendations for mitigation and preparedness measures.
Emergency Response:
- Develop and oversee emergency response protocols and procedures to ensure a swift and effective response to crises.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to conduct regular drills and simulations for emergency scenarios.
Training and Awareness:
- Provide training sessions to employees at all levels to enhance awareness and understanding of business continuity plans and procedures.
- Foster a culture of preparedness and resilience throughout the organization.
Incident Management:
- Establish and lead an incident management team to respond promptly to disruptions, minimizing impact and downtime.
- Coordinate communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed during incidents.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Risk Management, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications in business continuity (e.g., CBCP, CBCI) is a plus.
