JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Basic Function
Performing day-to-day Room Reservations sales activities of the properties and follow instruction from RM/ARM for room selling strategy of properties.
Responsibility and Authority
1. Support - Handling phone call enquiries at Reservations.
- Follow procedures of call taking
- Observes procedures of call taking by reservations staff
- Check on individual daily work
2. Handle Reservations and administration duties
2.1 Handle and process individual reservations.
- Handle and process group and series booking and including taking booking appropriate chasing and rooming list.
- Go through arrival checks daily for future reservations.
2.2 Check credit worthiness where applicable with Accountant.
- Handle and process deposits.
2.3 Maintain an efficient administration system including record keeping, filing and guest history.
2.4 Develops close working relationships with all business suppliers.
- Ensure sales leads are forward to Sales department for action
2.5 To achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets the expectations of guests and internal customers.
3. Assist to supervise Reservations Officer.
4. Oversee the day to day reservations activities and operations.
5. Follow instructions from Reservations Manager and Assistant Reservations Manager for room selling strategy of properties.
JONB SPECIFICATIONS
1. Knowledge and skills
Sales knowledge, financial knowledge, computer knowledge and able to work long hours.
2. Education, training qualifications
Certificate / Diploma in Hotel Management.
3. Experience
Minimum 2 year as Property Reservations Assistant in international class hotel or Good / Fundamental reservations knowledge in an international class hotel.
4. Personality
Articulate, ambitious, good sense of humour, sensitive to guest and employee needs and a positive role model.
5. Physical requirements
Fit and Healthy.
