Establish critical operating systems and processes for the Director of Research (DOR) functions
Establish relevant guidelines in governing grant management and administration

Follow up with relevant ARES and Corp Groups on Fund Requisition, Progress Reports, Project Review, Relevant Audits, etc
Follow up with relevant ARES on processing of variation requests of projects
Monitor major external grants and facilitate milestone reviews required by grantors
Analyse critical statistics and provide critical summary and regular reports for management?s planning
Perform proper documentation of critical documents on approvals, projects, reports, etc.
Requirements
Minimally a university degree with a good knowledge of STEM discipline
Minimally 6 years of relevant work experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, including research leaders
Strong attention to details, e.g., grants terms and conditions
Experience and/or keen interest in work related to governance and policy, especially in the research & development sector
Strong knowledge on software tools such as Words, Excel, Powerpoint
Strong problem solving, analytical and systems thinking abilities
Experience in data analytics and visualisation tools (Tableau/PowerBI) will be an advantage
Resourceful and independent
