What the day will look like
As a global leader who will lead the marketing and communications strategies of one of our primary areas of business, Risk Capital, you will have the breadth to direct a team that develops and distributes content for internal and external consumption. Partnership with solution line leadership to support solution line and product marketing strategies includes close partnership with the Reinsurance Chief Marketing Officer, industry and market specialists in region.

You will have dual reporting into the Head of Global Marketing, and the Risk Capital CEO, to determine campaigns plans for global and region-agnostic content, and clearly set prioritization for global and regional events based on solution line strategy.
  • Write solution line-specific content with industry SMEs from a global perspective regarding key issues prioritized with the Head of Global Marketing.
  • Support industry specific content curation and specificity with industry SMEs.
  • Distribute content,and thought leadership. for local tailoring to regions for customization and campaign activation.
  • Manage industry-specific writers and content developers.
  • Set and monitor KPIs for solution line-specific product marketing.
  • Coordinate content distribution with the Digital Marketing team.
  • Ensure all global perspectives and content adhere to branding parameters established by the Brand team.

In this global role leading our marketing strategy for Risk Capital, you will own the creation of content for use by regions and local teams to increase visibility of Aon in the market while collaborating with peers to ensure a cohesive and focused strategy. Spanning insurance, reinsurance, claims, brokerage, risk management and analytics, and much more, you’ll have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in one of our key areas of business.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
As one of the subject matter authorities in Risk Capital, a proven record in data-driven, critical thinking and global marketing strategies with proven experience in project management, problem solving, and operationalizing strategies in a consulting or marketing strategy role are important. Communicating results and outlining the path forward is crucial, as are excellent presentation skills, creative thinking and contribution to fresh ideas and strategies. This all requires a genuine collaborative drive, whether developing a team or working with internal or external partners, to influence others and build followership. Additional skills include:
  • Proficiency in various strategic fields globally, including brand positioning, influencer and social campaigns, communications planning and customer experience.
  • Deep understanding and consistent history of handling acquisition campaigns, strategies, and benchmarks globally.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze large data sets, identify trends and develop insights, and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Reporting and experience utilizing CRM platforms, data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker) and experience crafting C-suite-level dashboards.
  • Extensive experience leading thought leadership/industry content and product content teams
