What The Role Is

This role within the Strategic Communications Division in HTX is focused on producing events to:

  • Position HTX’s work in Science and Technology as critical in enhancing the Home Team’s efforts to “keep Singapore safe and secure”;
  • Brand the organisation as a leader in homeland security S&T in the eyes and minds of the local and international communities;
  • Generate trust and garner appreciation for the organisation’s and Home Team’s work amongst Singaporeans and with the international audience; and
  • Inspire pride and foster sense of belonging among the internal audience


What You Will Be Working On

  • Working under the leadership of the Deputy Director of Internal Communications and Engagement to produce key events for external outreach and internal engagement
  • Providing counsel and collaborating with internal stakeholders across the Divisions in HTX to conceptualise, manage, and execute events that are not only innovative, exceptional and memorable, but also communicate the intended key messages to the audience
  • Leading by influencing across teams to ensure flawless execution of the events
  • Working with a small team of senior managers/managers to impress upon them that events are visible communications and marketing tools to engage the various stakeholders, both internal and external


What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum Degree in Marketing or Communications-related field
  • Proven good track of at least 10 years of working in communications and marketing, digital media and/or event management fields, with at least 3 years as supervisor
  • Open minded, able to connect the dots and think strategically
  • Team player, self-starter, ability to multi- task
  • Is a creative thinker and enjoys continuous learning
  • Able to work across departments and lead through influencing
  • Able to recognise that events are showpieces to create the correct atmosphere and communicate intended key messages to the audience


All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
