Purpose of the job

The Finance Analyst is instrumental in providing critical financial insights, support, and expertise to the organization. By collaborating with the key stakeholders and efficiently managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering accurate and timely reporting, the Finance Analyst plays a vital role in facilitating informed decision-making, optimizing financial performance, and driving the achievement of organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger, including a chart of accounts maintenance, and journal postings
  • Perform financial period-end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate period-end closing and reporting. Including reviewing manual entries, accruals intercompany reconciliation, and fixed assets ledger
  • Prepare, reconcile, and submission of sales and stock reporting, including stock forecasting and invoicing
  • Involve with preparing and reviewing the worksheets and GST returns to be submitted to IRAS, continuously review, and provide advice on the GST compliance processes
  • Prepare and review tax filing/reporting, in compliance with the local tax authority
  • Responsible for the annual statutory audit process and local compliance submissions and ensuring timely completion
  • Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing calculation to be reviewed by Group Tax
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
  • Liaise with a variety of departments and key stakeholders in the business to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of reports
  • Participate in new workflow and system implementation with the continuous improvement process
  • Any other duties and regional finance activities assigned by the Finance Director
  • Assist the Finance Director with any other assigned duties

Qualifications

Professional:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy / Finance or equivalent. CA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in handling financial accounting and general ledger duties
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards and statutory financial regulations and declarations
  • Exposure to supply chain operational management in trade, warehousing, shipping and logistics is an additional plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Personal:

  • Ability to prioritize, meet strict deadlines, and have high attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Problem-solving skills, and the ability to discuss, facilitate, and implement solutions cross-functionally
