APAC Director of Revenue Management is a senior member of YOTEL’s commercial team supporting YOTEL Singapore Orchard Road and YOTELAIR Singapore Changi. He or she is responsible for creating and executing comprehensive commercial strategies to maximise market share at each hotel within the region and effectively communicate with the owners and franchisees. He/she is responsible for driving the revenue strategy, optimising distribution channels and overseeing the APAC Commercial Strategy.
This role will provide clear reporting and analytics that translates into performance insight and subsequent deployment of short-term tactical decisions and longer-term strategic planning to influence performance. The role is responsible for setting out the strategic Revenue Management direction for the annual budget submission and 5-year planning cycle.
The role will support the development team in growing the YOTEL portfolio by providing commercial input into potential new projects within the region whilst delivering best in class commercial metrics from our existing portfolio of hotels within the region.
Regional Performance
- Provide proactive and strategic support to all new hotels in the region to ensure timely ramp-up of performance metrics. Conduct post-opening performance review, identify areas of opportunity for hotel improvement, and partner with the hotel team on relevant implementation of actions.
- Lead the regional Business Performance team and the hotel team to drive market share and revenue performance of each YOTEL within the assigned region.
- Provide leadership for on-property GMs and sales leaders to maximise profit.
- Effectively communicate the hotel’s short, medium, and long-term strategy with the ownership by becoming the face of the brand.
- Regularly consult the franchisees to ensure they are getting the best value out of YOTEL’s commercial engine and the brand performance team.
- Consult on commercial strategies and initiatives that drive market leadership and profitability for the franchise hotels in the region.
- Drive each YOTEL’s commercial strategy by developing and implementing cohesive plans that include both the on and above-property resources.
- Devise a 360-degree sales & marketing plan for each hotel and work with on-property sales team, and the regional revenue and marketing directors for effective execution.
- Ensure effective inventory and pricing strategies by each market segment are implemented at each YOTEL.
- Cooperate with the brand performance team to maximise the demand at the right time for the right guests.
- Provide constructive feedback to the brand performance team to grow the organic demand of our brand.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual programming of marketing activities are carried out consistently.
- Ensure the hotel-level commercial strategies are aligned with the brand vision.
- Review and approve annual budgets in both the top-line and S&M costs.
- Ensure the commercial structure is optimized at both on & above property to maximize market share.
- Ensure the team is utilizing all the resources available to maximise value out of every channel effectively.
- Serve as an advocate of new hotels by working with members of regional internal departments to identify additional opportunities of support where needed.
- Actively participate in any form of communication with each ownership, including monthly P&L reviews, quarterly strategy meetings, and other ad-hoc calls.
This position also holds key responsibilities for managing hotel properties. The primary duties include:

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of at least 5 years experience in revenue management, distribution, and reservations within a multi-site hotel environment.
- Proficiency with revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and distribution channel management tools
- Experience with Opera property management system would be advantageous
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful revenue strategies and optimising distribution channels
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies to drive direct bookings
- Technologically savvy, expert in Microsoft Excel, possessing the aptitude and desire to learn new technology
- Experience working with Duetto, IDeaS, Opera Cloud and SynXis CRM a benefit
- Analytical skills, as well as problem recognition and resolution skills
- Schedule flexibility and ability to travel
- Detailed understand of the Singapore market
- Able to sell strategic decisions to gain optimal business mix
