Join us as Product Design Intern in Singapore

Ascenda is looking for a passionate individual with a strong interest in crafting exceptional user journeys and maintaining high-quality UI designs. As a Product Design Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the entire product journey process—from research to design execution. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with product and engineering teams in our three-in-a-pod model to design seamless user experiences for our B2B portals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing the end-to-end product journey for the admin persona, starting from user research, creating prototypes, and developing low-fidelity wireframes, progressing to high-fidelity designs.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams in a collaborative three-in-a-pod model, supporting the design process from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with the Design Systems team to contribute new components and ensure consistency across Ascenda’s products.
• Partner with developers to support the successful implementation of design features.
• Participate in user testing sessions to gather feedback and apply insights to improve designs.
• Conduct competitor and industry research to inform design choices and stay updated on the latest design trends and features within our competitive landscape.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Currently studying in a university or polytechnic, preferably in design major (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, IS, CS, or related Diploma / Degree.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with usability testing methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma is a plus.
• Passionate about creating user-centric designs that solve real problems.
• Keen attention to detail, not just in visual elements but also in workflow design.
• Eager to build a career in product design and open to continuous learning.
