Job Summary:

The Centre Manager will oversee the overall management and development of a Community Wellness Hub and a Day Rehabilitation Centre. The role involves designing and implementing fitness and rehabilitation programs, managing resources, ensuring service quality, and promoting safety. Additionally, the Centre Manager will supervise staff and volunteers, collaborate with stakeholders, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and focus on delivering client-centered care and operational excellence.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

Community Wellness Hub- Gym programme:

  • Develop the framework and course structure for fitness and functional training programs.
  • Identify community needs and design programmes to address emerging requirements.
  • Evaluate service gaps and devise strategies for service improvement.
  • Establish policies and work processes to ensure efficient service delivery and safety for clients and staff.
  • Ensure that staff involved in fitness and functional training are adequately trained and equipped.
  • Support the Community Enablement Programme by organizing and conducting talks or activities.
  • Train and manage volunteers to support program delivery.

Day Rehabilitation Centre (Therapist duties):

  • Collaborate with clients and caregivers to assess and monitor treatment progress.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clients' conditions in compliance with Ministry of Health (MOH) service requirements.
  • Provide or facilitate caregiver training and evaluate program effectiveness by assessing improvements in care and caregiver coping strategies.
  • Prescribe and train clients on the use of mobility aids.
  • Adhere to the Allied Health Professional Guidelines and maintain professional conduct.

Centre Manager Duties:

  • Evaluate and improve existing workflows and processes for all centre-based services to enhance productivity.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to introduce meaningful activities for client engagement.
  • Organize and conduct professional development activities and projects, including training, quality improvement initiatives, and research.
  • Facilitate clinical care plan discussions to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Conduct risk management assessments and implement risk mitigation plans to ensure workplace safety (including facilities and equipment).
  • Supervise staff and ensure they meet performance standards.
  • Ensure the centre is prepared for service audits and meets a 90% utilization rate.
  • Manage transport vendors to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Oversee resource management, including scheduling, budgeting, and attendance tracking.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster positive relationships with the local community, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Promote the centre’s services and activities through outreach and networking efforts.
  • Represent the centre at community events and meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a similar setting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in Singapore.
