Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HSE policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department on HSE strategy, setting and achieving annual targets.
- Conduct regular facility audits, risk assessments, and inspections, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead employee safety training programs, including fire prevention, hazardous materials handling, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage timely submission of permits and reports.
- Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Support crisis management and emergency response plans, conducting drills and maintaining readiness.
- Lead internal and external HSE audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Promote a proactive safety culture, engaging employees in HSE initiatives.
- Maintain safety permits, licenses, and certifications, and liaise with regulatory bodies on compliance matters.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Management, or related field.
- 7-10 years of HSE management experience, with at least preferably 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the chemical, oil & gas, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Preferably certified with WSH Level C or higher, and registered as a Fire Safety Manager.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and ISO standards.
- Leadership skills with the ability to foster a positive safety culture and mentor others.
