Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain HSE policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department on HSE strategy, setting and achieving annual targets.
  • Conduct regular facility audits, risk assessments, and inspections, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead employee safety training programs, including fire prevention, hazardous materials handling, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage timely submission of permits and reports.
  • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective measures.
  • Support crisis management and emergency response plans, conducting drills and maintaining readiness.
  • Lead internal and external HSE audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture, engaging employees in HSE initiatives.
  • Maintain safety permits, licenses, and certifications, and liaise with regulatory bodies on compliance matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Management, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of HSE management experience, with at least preferably 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the chemical, oil & gas, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Preferably certified with WSH Level C or higher, and registered as a Fire Safety Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and ISO standards.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to foster a positive safety culture and mentor others.
