Responsibilities:
FLAVOUR LABORATORY RELATED
- In the absence of the flavour technologist and/or flavourist trainee, carry out the related activities to guarantee the delivery of results within the deadlines.
- Develop safety guidelines and SOPs for laboratory management, equipment usage and process flow.
- Any Ad-hoc office and lab duties as assigned from time to time by Director, PDI.
FLAVOUR AND TOBACCO LABORATORIES RELATED
- Enhance the existing laboratory process and make recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee lab safety management system and ensure a high level of safety in the labs.
- Ensure labs are adequately maintained and resourced with necessary instruments, equipment, glassware, and apparatus to support scheduled activities.
- Oversee and procure lab equipment, instruments, chemicals, and consumables to ensure there is a proper stock level for usage.
- Maintain proper records for equipment and supplies to ensure that the laboratory resources are properly accounted for.
- Ensure timely maintenance and preventive maintenance of all laboratory equipment to ensure that it is in good condition.
- Collaborate with Team towards daily lab and equipment upkeep (Lab inventory & Systems maintenance).
- Manage laboratory administrative systems.
- Coordinate office and laboratory renovations through monitoring of renovation progress to ensure that the lab is ready in time.
- Ensure good housekeeping of laboratory.
- Collaborate closely with team for ongoing sourcing and procurement of specific equipment, consumables, and chemicals.
- Track and manage the overall asset list for the lab, ensuring that the information is up to date, and assets are properly tagged.
- Facilitate the application of licenses and liaise with the relevant authorities for license/permit issues relating to safety, such as NEA, SCDF.
- Monitor projects & SOPs for flavor house and global blending operations.
- Managing and document controlling.
- Responsible for waste management in lab.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience on above mentioned responsibilities.
- Deep understanding of laboratory activities, product development, procurement, contract, construction, and commissioning documentation.
- Proficient in Project management systems.
- Data organization skills.
- Experience working with and understanding drawings and documentation.
- Experience working with a computerized Project Management System.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Very good interpersonal skill and good teamwork.
