JOB SUMMARY
  • This role could be based in Singapore and India.
  • The Business Solution Analyst acts as the key member of the squad, within Wealth Journeys Hive of Group Wealth Management, supporting the squad members with stories refinement and business solution development & helps to roll out new solutions to business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Stories Refinement
  • Understanding the requirements received from the product owner or business stakeholders
  • Document the requirement in form of user stories
  • Refine the requirements and prepare detailed user stories with acceptance criteria (including NFR and monitoring needs), target business process, changes required in application from current state to target state, screen mock up, data mapping, rules sheet and interface mapping etc.
  • Walkthrough the refined user stories with business stakeholders and product owners to confirm the scope
  • Explain the requirement to squad members in the backlog grooming session and further refine story as needed
  • Review the solution presented by developers and architects to validate if the solution would meet business needs
  • Review the test cases prepared by testers to validate if the testers would cover the acceptance criteria

2. Analysis of production bugs
  • Receive the incident raised by business users on production bugs
  • Analyse the bug to understand what caused the bug and present finding to developers to fix
  • Review the fix done by developers to validate if the fix has resolved the issue permanently
  • Where needed, guide the squad to find interim solution and/or data patch.

3. Support UAT/in-sprint testing/regression testing/UVT
  • Guide UAT users on what needs to be tested. Where needed, prepare UAT test cases and test data
  • Explain the UAT users on test approach, and handhold during testing period
  • Analyse any defects raised (during SIT/UAT/Regression testing) and guide developers on what need to be fixed
  • Where needed, test the functionality from business perspective and document the test results.

4. Backlog maintenance
  • Support the Product owner in overall backlog maintenance
  • Walkthrough the backlog with business users as needed
  • Review business priorities with business users and Product owners
  • Work with business users and Product owners to define long term target state processes

5. Training and Documentation
  • Train business users on functionalities and how to use them
  • Prepare and maintain training material, FAQ and other documents on what has been developed, including business processes

6. Strategy
  • Responsible to drive the implementation of Wealth Management Strategy to improve client engagement and increase RM productivity in the Sales process across end-to-end Wealth journeys, in partnership with Affluent Segment, Wealth Management Product teams, WM COO and Technology leadership, along with other team members of Wealth Journeys Hive

7. Business
  • Wealth & Retail Banking - Wealth Management

8. Processes
  • Wealth Management - Sales Process, Suitability, Order Management, Portfolio Review

People & Talent
  • Work with Product Owners and Analysts to form a high calibre team of wealth management experts with high flare of using technology to enhance client experience

Risk Management
  • Ensure that the capabilities implemented follow the risk governance process of the bank and contribute to overall risk reduction at all time

Governance
  • Follow the specified governance process for agile delivery

Our Ideal Candidate
  • We are looking for talented individuals who can be effective leaders with functional and operational expertise. You must be a strong communicator who builds trust-based relationships within the team and amongst stakeholders.
  • 10+ years as a Business analyst and Change management in Financial domain.
  • 7+ years hands on experience and proven knowledge in the Wealth Management/Private Banking space, focused on Front office sales process and capital markets products lifecycle.
  • 7+ years of experience with Wealth management platforms like Triple A plus/Avaloq or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to define requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Proven ability to use various prioritisation and decision-making techniques
  • Proven ability to remove impediments and make blockers, risks or issues transparent
  • Strong prioritization and analytical skills to manage backlog for the team
  • Exceptional communication skills to (internal and external stakeholders)
  • Ensure transparency and path to resolution for identified risks or issues.
  • Proven knowledge of agile ways of working including values, principles, and practices.
  • Graduate/Masters
