Overall Job Purpose:

This is a Group Director portfolio overseeing 4 departments: Events, Sales, Investment and Experience Design.

Lead the Division to plan, design and develop Sentosa as an attractive destination to drive business outcomes. This includes leveraging investments to build Sentosa’s destination narrative, curating the island’s experience portfolio (including developing new segments), develop events as a strategy and oversee ticketing, sales and promotions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive One Sentosa Experience outcomes through use of experiential, thematic and integrative strategies on events, island investments, portfolio development and sales fronts.

• Champion experiential concept design and development to activate precincts (e.g. Imbiah, Sensory Scape and Palawan) and assets to enhance Sentosa’s destination value proposition (e.g. Sentosights).

• Active involvement in the development of the Sentosa-Brani Masterplan, particularly in areas relating to experiences and concept developments eg co-lead the envisioning of Brani.

• Oversee leasing matters and lead team to leverage this as a strategy towards designing and enhancing Sentosa’s portfolio of experiences to drive visitorship and spend.

• Lead the Sales team to drive local and international business to Sentosa (visitorship and spends), covering both Leisure and MICE.

• Build an events ecosystem on Sentosa to make the island a vibrant events hub of Singapore, with year- long events and programming (both MICE and Leisure) to drive visitorship and build affinity.

• Seek sponsorships and partnerships to develop and enhance Sentosa’s attractiveness and business propositions.

Job Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Experience/Attractions Development, Business, Sales, Marketing, Events Management, Real Estate or similar.

• Experience in Experiential, Thematic, Interactive Design and Multi-media/Digital Technologies (e.g. Augmented/Virtual reality) related works. This includes experience in running commercial B-B and B-C portals.

• Experience in project management, including budget controls, schedule controls and reporting.

• Experience in Business Development, fronting negotiations and lead concept development.

• Experience in sales and marketing, with international exposure and experience preferred.

• Experience in handling media and industry engagements.

• Strong writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
