Technical Lead

Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Product Engineering Tech Lead to oversee our backend engineering efforts, including managing the Web team. This is not a full-stack role, but requires leading a full-stack team. The role requires strong engineering skills and care for the product to collaborate closely with the Product team while also driving significant product decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the development of core backend systems, including:
2. Edge Services: Product Backend, Notification Server, Authentication Server.
3. Smart Contract Sync: Ensuring consistency between smart contract data and our databases.
4. Native wallet enhancement: Work on optimising the performance of our wallet
5. Testing: Enhance quality by adding unit/regression tests
6. Oversee functional projects such as:
7. KYC processes for onboarding.
8. Marketing and rewards build.
9. Development and maintenance of internal portals.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Web/Mobile engineering teams, to ensure cohesive product development and implementation.
11. Strengthen GRVT’s authentication technology stack by working closely with the Head of Security to enhance security features like multi-factor authentication (MFA), WebAuthn, and secure session management.

What We Are Looking For:

1. Engineering Leadership: Proven experience in leading technical teams to deliver complex projects on time and with high quality.
2. Product Sense: Strong product thinking with the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers while making key product decisions.
3. Technical Expertise:
4. Experience in backend engineering, particularly in building scalable and high-performance systems.
5. Proficiency in Go and familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL and caching systems such as Redis.
6. Full Stack Experience: While not required, experience in full-stack development is beneficial for understanding the broader context and leading the team effectively.
7. Blockchain Knowledge: While not a requirement, familiarity with blockchain technology and its applications in financial systems is advantageous. A strong interest in our mission is critical, and we will provide onboarding to our blockchain and zk-powered scaling solutions.
