Role Description

3.1 Report to Technical Manager on the primary services specified in the Contract.

3.2 Manage daily technical operations, ensure materials and equipment are prepared and in working condition prior to and after the scheduled facility sessions according to curriculum and for assessments, and events held within RP laboratories, XLC and TRCC.

3.3 Assist lecturers with demonstrations of experiments, equipment, conduct trial run for practical classes and support Final Year Projects as well as other RP projects.

3.4 Work with RP to liaise with vendors on new product training and repair/ servicing. This includes assistance in designing, developing, testing, and implementing any changes to laboratories, studios, XLC and TRCC facilities and systems that is in accordance with RP’s requirement.

3.5 Perform basic in-house troubleshooting in the event of an equipment fault and work with RP to follow up with external vendor on the repairs/ servicing work if unable to resolve. Ensure laboratories, studios, XLC and TRCC facilities and equipment problems are promptly followed through.

3.6 Escalate and inform problems that cannot be resolved to Technical Manager, Deputy Technical Manager or STSO within 1 working day from the day when problem was identified.

3.7 Perform regular upkeep of equipment and materials, including preventive maintenance, as well as supporting RP to schedule vendor to conduct such maintenance.

3.8 Provide support services to ensure availability and accessibility of required facilities and systems (e.g. booking of facilities and labs, etc.).

3.9 Maintain, update, and comply with all standards and procedures that are applicable for laboratories, studios, XLC and TRCC facilities and operation.

3.10 Accountable for the responsible use of assets, equipment and training environment of the programmes, in accordance with internal and external safety policies and procedures.

3.11 Support the inventory control of laboratories, studios, XLC and TRCC by preparing lists of replacement
