The Commercial Operations Director, APAC for Leica Biosystems is responsible for providing management oversight for operations functions and staff throughout APAC region, excluding China. The role involves managing Supply Chain Management activities and will work closely with country General Managers, market leaders and supporting functions to implement strategic initiatives. As an operations leader, you will also ensure there is sufficient support and act as a steward for operational excellence initiatives in both the upstream and downstream commercial processes.

This position is part of the LBS APAC commercial operations located in Singapore / Japan / Korea and will be remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the LBS APAC and report to the LBS APAC commercial responsible for management oversight for operations functions and staff throughout APAC region, excluding China. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide guidance and leadership to commercial teams with respect to upstream & downstream commercial activities, including identification of improvement opportunities through the commercial processes
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual company targets in line with APAC’s annual business plan
  • Overall responsibility for the Order-to-Delivery process across the region, and forwarder management, including international and domestic with customs clearance procedures.
  • Responsible for sales forecast to PSI converting and own its accuracy. Tracking order and sales execution progress, ensure it runs on schedule and plan
  • Drive customer satisfaction by continuously improving On-Time-Delivery
  • Achieve & maintain optimal level of inventory, including finished goods, demo & spare parts (in alignment with service delivery strategies), Manage & coordinate Channel Inventory reporting & sufficient and satisfactory inventory levels
  • Achieve optimal freight and warehousing spend across respective regions

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Business, Science, Healthcare, or related discipline, or equivalent experience combined with education
  • Customer relations, budgeting and project management experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience leading multiple teams/departments and supervision of team members
  • Command of process improvements, strong negotiation and project management skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with both local and remote co-workers
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and effectively

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • 30% travel in APAC

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Superior written, verbal, and visual communications skills
  • Effective delegation skills
