Copywriter
As a Copywriter/Editor, you will play a crucial role in creating compelling and engaging content for government services at a well sought after Government Board through our consultancy client, a Global Transformation Company. You will collaborate with content strategists, designers, and other stakeholders to develop high-quality copy that effectively communicates our messaging and drives user engagement.
THIS IS A 1 YEAR CONTRACT POSITION SUBJECT TO EXTENSION UP TO 2 YEARS BASED ON PERFORMANCE & BUSINESS NEEDS.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for various digital channels, including websites, blogs, social media, and marketing materials. Ensure that content aligns with the brand voice, tone, and messaging.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for grammar, spelling, and clarity. Ensure that content is accurate, consistent, and adheres to style guidelines.
- Keyword Optimization: Incorporate relevant keywords into content to improve search engine visibility. Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify the most effective terms.
- Brand Voice and Messaging: Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all content channels. Ensure that content aligns with the organization's goals and values.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with content strategists to develop and implement content calendars and strategies. Identify content opportunities and topics that resonate with the target audience.
- Social Media Content: Create engaging social media content that drives audience interaction and follows best practices for platform-specific guidelines.
- Copywriting for Marketing Materials: Write compelling copy for marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations. Ensure that copy effectively conveys the benefits of the product or service.
- User-Centric Writing: Write content that is easy to understand and resonates with the target audience. Consider user needs and preferences when crafting copy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a copywriter or editor.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Ability to adapt writing style to suit different audiences and platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Experience working with content management systems (CMS).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing content for government or public-facing organizations.
- Understanding of marketing and branding concepts.
