About The Team

The Money Movement organization is working toward a future in which all of the complexity that comes with handling money (e.g. accepting different currencies, adopting new payment methods, integrating with hundreds of banks globally) is hidden from Stripe’s users. It is core to Stripe’s business and thousands of developers will use our platform and infrastructure to create valuable products and services that billions of people use.

Our team is responsible for building out the platform that powers money movement for all Stripe Products including Connect, Issuing, and Corporate Card. Ultimately, our goal is to increase the GDP of the internet by making it easy to build global products, services, and platforms that handle money.

S&O works cross functionally within our group and across Stripe to drive and enable the growth of the business. We lead mission critical, cross-functional efforts, deliver objective analysis and insights, incubate new roles, and execute on strategic initiatives. You may dig into winning new market segments, design new business systems and processes to scale our group, help us build and launch new products, or unlock new revenue opportunities. Whatever it is, we work on what will move the needle most for Stripe.

What you’ll do

  • Strategy
  • Partner with Product, Legal, Partnerships, and many other functions to proactively develop Stripe’s money movement & storage strategy in APAC (starting with Australia & New Zealand)
  • Help identify and implement new opportunities for Stripe’ products, or for new products through analysis and research
  • Program Management
  • Coordinate across a highly cross-functional landscape to acquire the necessary licenses and partnerships to execute on our strategy
  • Assist key stakeholders in assessing current headcount and future needs
  • Business Development
  • Work closely with the Global Partnerships team to source, negotiate, and close strategic banking partnerships that further our APAC strategy
  • Run the business
  • Design and implement the business and operational systems and processes that help us scale within Stripe


Who you are

We’re looking for a seasoned strategy & operations professional with prior experience navigating the financial & banking ecosystems across APAC, starting with Australia and New Zealand. The candidate would ideally have worked within the context of enabling cross-border money movement and/or embedded finance for businesses, and is knowledgeable of the regulatory & compliance requirements across the region. A strong candidate will be comfortable navigating highly ambiguous, complex, and cross-functional projects in fast-paced working environments.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, business operations, corporate strategy or related field
  • Experience related to payments, money movement or financial services across various APAC regions
  • Experience building strong cross-functional partnerships with product, engineering, partnerships, and legal teams
  • Experience presenting complex, strategic initiatives to senior business leaders


Preferred Qualifications

Skilled at tackling ambiguous problems and defining and executing strategies that clarify the problem statement, drive alignment and deliver quantifiable business impact and for Stripe’s users

  • Strong agency, can handle ambiguity in a fast-moving organization, and thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with varying priorities and drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal
  • Strong program management skills with experience, taking initiatives from conception to launch and managing end-to-end execution of projects/programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across a wide variety of functions
  • Experience working with customer-facing teams (e.g. partnerships, sales, customer support, professional services, etc.)


Hybrid work at Stripe

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is S$264,000 - S$396,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
