Responsibilities:

  • Develop Southeast Asia (SEA) regional brand product merchandising mix for our high-end sportswear brand - Descente, ensure merchandising strategy is properly coordinated to the local teams in every country and implemented efficiently to achieve the organization's goals (offline and online)
  • Prepare the seasonal product range tailored to the local product needs in every country, develop the quarterly range calendar release date, and determine the merchandising allocation for all channels (offline and online)
  • Work closely with China Headquarter's product development teams to address SEA market needs, study and report regional trends, and manage and monitor sportswear and shoes localization plan progress for the regional market.
  • Establish long-term vision for different brands and categories growth, and develop the seasonal merchandising plan to achieve targets, and ensure Descente's healthy image in the market.
  • Conduct consumer and market research in the SEA region, develop the database of analysis on our global competitors and local brands.
  • Manage sales/buy plan forecasting, sales, and margin targets based on regional requirements.
  • Work closely with the sales operations team to ensure that product relevance emphasis is combined with the financial planning side.
  • Provide the sales operations team with monthly category sales, sell-thru, and inventory reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Economics, or any related course
  • No experience is required, relevant experience will be advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with high proficiency in both Mandarin and English languages in order to liaise with colleagues in China and SEA countries.
  • Coordinate and communicate clearly between country local teams and regional teams
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
  • Business acumen, strategic inventory planning and negotiation skills
  • Passion for sports is a must.
