About the Role

At Yum! we have big ambitions, where we are making room for all people and voices at our tables. In your Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Lead role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and advance the EIB strategy throughout the enterprise, specifically in Asia, working collaboratively across different Brands and functions. Your role is crucial in fostering a culture of belonging where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best work.

Your Role Responsibilities

Embed Equity, Inclusion and Belonging:

  • Develop and execute the regional Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategy in alignment with the global EIB strategy.
  • Provide guidance on aspects of EIB such as recruitment and hiring practices, employee engagement, Leadership development, retention, etc.
  • Provide guidance and support to Communities of Belonging (CoBs) and other affinity groups to promote a sense of belonging and community.
  • Address any instances of bias, discrimination, or inequity through appropriate channels and mechanisms.

Organisational Development:

  • Develop and facilitate engaging global programs that build awareness, inclusion capability, create community, and support our EIB strategy, such as Inclusive Leadership, Reverse Mentorship, etc.
  • Support leadership development programs focused on the growth of diverse talent into leadership roles.
  • Monitor, measure and analyze the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends in equity, inclusion, and belonging and integrate them into the organization’s strategy.

Talent:

  • Partner with Brand EIB and talent teams to further integrate our EIB beliefs and values throughout our holistic talent management framework piloting innovative solutions that advance all employee experience.

Analytics:

  • Work with relevant stakeholders to frame and develop executive-level presentations, reports, and dashboards that help communicate priorities, show measurable outcomes, and track progress.
  • Translate analytics from EIB data into insights that ensure informed leadership decisions, on-track company priorities, and execution of programs.

Collaboration:

  • Work in tandem with EIB leads at YUM! and its brands to share best practices and support comprehensive efforts across the system.
  • Partner with the Communications team to curate the EIB (internal and external). Conduct research, develop, and maintain internal and external diversity & inclusion benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with HR, leadership, and other stakeholders to integrate equity and inclusion principles into all aspects of the organization's operations.
  • Foster partnerships with external partners and communities to further equity and inclusion within the region.

Your Working Relationships

In this individual contributor capacity, you will work closely with:

  • EIB Leads (Cross-brand)
  • Cross-functional teams (Talent, OD, Training, Communications, PR)
  • External Partners & Vendors

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Experience in HR, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging, Organizational Development, and/or other multicultural disciplines (at a global scale is a bonus!)
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant EIB experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and communities, particularly in an Asian context.
  • Cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and individuals with disabilities, among others.
  • Experience leading programs from idea concept to pilot, to execution and evaluation establishing program requirements using data and metrics.
  • Track record of delivering and facilitating people programs that make a quantifiable impact.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, willingness to iterate and learn as you go, and deliver through others.
  • Love for thinking deeply about and solving challenging problems using data, research, and insights when applicable.
  • Skilled in data reporting and analytical skills as well as demonstrated ability to handle complex projects.
  • Data systems like Excel, HRIS (Oracle), Python, R, or also other visualization platforms will be a plus
  • You will lead EIB initiatives with focus on Asia. Thus, fluency in English and proficiency in additional Asian languages is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
