The role will be part of the Singapore Aerospace Programme (SAP) team to manage research projects performed by A*STAR Research Entities for industry partners, manage programme activities and handle industry engagement activites.

Key responsibilities include:

Programme management

  • Assist in the planning and execution of new project launches including the call for problem statements, workshops and proposal/technical reviews
  • Monitor on-going projects through regular review meetings with research teams to ensure budget and deliverables are met
  • Manage report submissions and variation requests
  • Assist in the planning and execution of 6-monthly Programme Management Committee (PMC) meetings
  • Work with teammates to ensure the smooth operations of the programme
  • Support other office functions, e.g. hosting industry events



Stakeholder engagement and development

  • Participate in meetings with SAP consortium members, industry stakeholders and public agencies
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Singapore Airshow exhibition and hosting of Singapore Aerospace Technology Leadership Forum
  • Facilitate the conceptualization and development of follow-on research initiatives beyond SAP
  • Work with inter-division or inter-agency teams to drive aerospace industry development, develop industry transformation maps and aerospace roadmaps
  • Coordinate industry engagement activities such as company visits to A*STAR and Airshow meetings and manage follow-up actions
  • Nurture industry accounts to deepen research activities with A*STAR
  • Engage Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to jointly develop research ecosystem aerospace capabilities



Job Requirements



  • Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in the field of aerospace or aeronautical
  • 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in aerospace MRO or R&D and/or project management roles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning and analytical skills
  • Result-oriented, resourceful and attentive to details
  • Familiarity with the Singapore research ecosystem and grant call process will be an advantage
