We are seeking for a PHP Developer (Backend) for an exciting role on a very special program (Upskill Today). You will be enlisted for 6 - 8 weeks learning during which you will learn concepts like Design Thinking, Effective Communication, new technology stacks used in the current milieu, and a full-fledged technical training program and refresher curriculum specific to the project requirements of the client.

The training needs to be undertaken full time but on work from home (WFH) basis. Following the completion of the training and a test, you will be deployed to our software development project.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled PHP/Laravel Developer to join our team, contributing to the development and maintenance of our ERP system and its integrations with various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Design and implement database schemas in MySQL to support application requirements.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for improved performance and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay updated with emerging web technologies and best practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in PHP development, with a focus on the Laravel framework.
  • Proficiency in MySQL, including database design and query optimization.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins).
