What The Role Is

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore’s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore’s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.

As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore – banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. It is also responsible for well-functioning financial markets, sound conduct, and investor education.

MAS also works with the financial industry to promote Singapore as a dynamic international financial centre. It facilitates the development of infrastructure, adoption of technology, and upgrading of skills in the financial industry.

Join us now, if you have a genuine interest in making an impact to help shape Singapore’s economic and financial landscape.

[What you will be working on]

You will be a member of a central team responsible for the ideation and implementation of sustainability strategies across MAS’ functions, working closely with relevant departments within the organisation to anchor Singapore as a leading green finance centre.

In This Role, You Will

It also includes coordinating intergovernmental and/or external engagements in the form of webinars, dialogues and/or roundtables, as well as overseas engagements (e.g. at New York Climate Week, annual UN COP meetings).
    • This will include development of communications strategies for key events to drive outreach and profiling of MAS sustainability initiatives, in close coordination with the MAS internal comms team.
    • Support MAS senior management in their external speaking engagements by originating both MAS specific and novel content on sustainability issues. This includes assessing speaking engagement requests, writing key note speeches, developing panel remarks and/or presentation materials.
    • Work with relevant departments to update key messages of MAS sustainability priorities and develop new comms content in emerging areas through the maintenance and updating of the Sustainability Message House.
  • Drive efforts in sustainability reporting, with a view for the MAS sustainability report to be compliant with leading standards. This includes working with lead departments on how the report can be enhanced, coordinate the collation of data for publication, and support the Sustainability Group in writing the report. Other aspects include providing inputs on sustainability for other MAS publications including the Annual Report.
  • Support on account management on entities that MAS has key relationships with. This includes support on brief inputs for strategic meetings, assessments of KPIs and administrative processing of grants during annual reviews.
