The Chief Operating Officer, Asia & EMEA will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our hotels and resorts within these regions. This executive leadership position will report directly to the CEO and will be instrumental in driving operational strategies that enhance guest experiences, improve efficiency, and increase profitability.

The COO will lead the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives and brand standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, capable of navigating the complexities of diverse markets across Asia and EMEA.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, revenue management, marketing, and human resources. They will be responsible for ensuring that our properties deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness. The COO will work closely with property general managers to foster a culture of excellence and ensure consistent brand delivery across all locations.

In addition, the COO will leverage data analytics to monitor performance metrics and implement initiatives that drive revenue growth and enhance operational efficiency. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, finance, and development, to identify growth opportunities and optimize resource allocation. Specific job responsibilities are as follow-

  • Oversee the overall operations of hotels and resorts in Asia & EMEA, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and brand standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that enhance guest experiences and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
  • Lead and mentor property general managers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability across all locations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and human resources, to drive revenue growth and optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental sustainability practices.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximizing profitability.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, building relationships with key stakeholders and enhancing brand visibility.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty, implementing best practices in customer service and experience management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

The COO will also represent the company at industry events and conferences, building relationships with key stakeholders and enhancing our brand visibility in the market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in operational leadership roles within the hospitality industry and possess the ability to inspire and motivate teams across multiple locations. The requirements are as follow-

  1. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
  2. MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  3. A minimum of 15 years of experience in hospitality operations, with significant leadership roles in Asia and EMEA markets.
  4. Proven track record of success in driving operational excellence and enhancing guest experiences in luxury or upscale hospitality brands.
  5. Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, including market trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
  6. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across diverse locations and cultures.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  8. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and revenue optimization.
  9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  10. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages is a plus.
  11. Willingness to travel extensively across the Asia & EMEA regions.
