Head of Strategic Asset Management

Our client is global real estate and investment group specializing in property development and asset management. They are looking for a Head of Strategic Asset Management with a strong background in real estate investment and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a portfolio of assets in various sectors such as business parks, industrial etc providing leadership to asset managers and cluster heads, with responsibility for facilities and property management, leasing, marketing, and portfolio support.
• Manage and develop long-term investment strategies for the asset portfolio, including forecasting returns, optimizing asset performance, and providing strategic recommendations.
• Identify and implement strategies to maximize income and enhance the value of the asset portfolio.
• Lead initiatives that drive portfolio strategies, incorporating innovation, market trends, and process improvements to benefit the investment management platform and the wider business.
• Ensure direct reports effectively manage internal property managers, meeting their obligations under service agreements and reviewing performance at a portfolio level.
• Serve as the portfolio lead in collaboration with senior leasing staff, overseeing customer engagement initiatives, tenant retention strategies, and managing the leasing and marketing team for tenant acquisition.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in real estate funds, asset, or investment management.
• Proven experience managing institutional investors, capital partners, and/or raising capital for real estate investments.
• Expertise in developing fund and investment strategies.
• Experience overseeing the creation of strategic asset plans, property-level budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong background in valuation, cash flow analysis, performance calculations, and asset management.
• Relevant experience in the industrial and business parks sector in a portfolio or asset management role.
• Ability to prepare and present investment recommendations and reports.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
