The Events Office (EO) is responsible for strategizing, planning and executing key university events, ensuring that the event experience aligns with NTU's branding as a leading university. EO plays a pivotal role in shaping NTU's events strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to create vibrant, engaging experiences that foster a strong sense of community on campus.

As Events Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the university's event landscape, creating meaningful experiences that strengthen community ties and enhance the university's reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, organization and execution of NTU's university-level events, ensuring seamless delivery across virtual, hybrid and physical platforms.
  • Provide financial oversight for events budgets and preparation of monthly reports.
  • Conceptualise, plan and manage events from start to the end.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and domain owners to define key performance indicators and set metrics for university-wide events.
  • Serve as Admin Manager of the revamped Sitefinity events webpages for both NTU's intranet and public websites.
  • Analyse the unified events calendar and PR requests to optimize aggregation of demand.
  • Provides guidance/advisory as NTU's in-house events agency.

Requirements

  • Degree in Events Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in events management, including 5 years of curating and managing high-profile dining events, preferably within the academic sector.
  • Experience in organizing virtual, hybrid, and physical events, with knowledge of video production, HTML5, CSS, and Sitefinity preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage high-profile events, with protocols for handling senior-level engagements.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills, with the ability to build networks and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities, with proficiency in IT tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an organised manner, able to multi-task and work under pressure, ensuring timely delivery of assignments.
  • High attention to detail, demonstrating sound work ethics, discretion and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and resourceful, with flexibility to adjust and react to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and being a responsible and good team player who is creative, resourceful, and resilient.
  • Enjoys working in a not-for-profit environment and collaborating with the community to enable NTU's wider mission and objectives.
