Position Summary

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the Room Air Conditioning (RAC) and Commercial Air Conditioning (Single-splits, Multi-splits, VRF) product portfolio for Southeast Asia & Oceania. You will drive product strategy and innovation across the product portfolio through strong collaboration with key stakeholders in subsidiaries, along with Global Product Management, Product Planning, R&D, Regional Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Service, Marketing and Sales Planning teams.

You will synthesize diverse ideas on strategy, planning, build consensus and execute next-generation product technologies and capabilities.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Champion the Air Conditioner product by executing the product vision and strategy
  • Bring expertise and deep knowledge of market needs, identify unspoken pain points and problems
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations and monitor market trends for sustainable innovation
  • Constantly evaluate and enhance product strategy to increase sales and profitability
  • Look at Profit and Loss analysis and profit improvement. Analyse financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance profitability
  • Thoroughly research markets and competitors to understand implications and develop action plan
  • Lead ideation, solution creation and value positioning by leveraging technical acumen
  • Compare competitors’ products through benchmarking, analysing specifications and pricing
  • Drive Product Portfolio Management (PPM) and Product Road Map (PRM) through optimal product mix and pricing strategies for profitable growth
  • Provide critical inputs to New Product Development (NDP) / New Product Introduction (NPI) programs during the preparation phase. as Act as the liaison between local teams, SEAO office in Singapore and Suwon office in South Korea for alignment to ensure successful product launches
  • Develop and implement product launch plans for the Air Conditioner line-up in partnership with local country teams
  • Provide product related inputs for marketing collaterals such as manuals, catalogue, website, white paper etc.
  • Enhance supply forecasting and product life cycle management processes in line with the product strategy
  • Support day-to-day operations for product related issues and proactively work with key stakeholders


Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering or a related field
  • 6+ years’ experience in product management / development in relevant industries
  • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset to connect technology, product features and customer benefits
  • Experience in international, multi-cultural / multi-layered, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Agility and resilience to work and influence within Samsung matrix environment at a local, regional and global level
  • Structured and strong in analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Occasional travel within Southeast Asia & Oceania and to Suwon office in South Korea
