The Head of Market Segment & Business Development leads a team in identifying new markets, researching and establishing relationships between market and customer needs, and playing a key role in business strategy development. You will use your deep industry knowledge and skills to propel business growth and position the company as a leader in the semiconductor industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop and activate market segments & business development strategies for the Business Line
  • Coach market segment managers in identifying new markets and opportunities
  • Drive business development managers to engage customers in strategic projects for the product lines
  • Attends conferences, exhibitions, industry networking events
  • Active scouting of new technologies and startup from M&A perspectives

Job Requirement:

  • Master’s degree in a science or engineering field or bachelor’s degree in science or engineering field with MBA
  • PhD in Engineering or Science or Executive MBA a plus
  • Minimum 18 years in semiconductor industry
  • Experienced in sales, marketing, NPI, research & development, applications development and/or product management
  • Effective management of team members located in globally eg. China, Singapore and USA to achieve their KPIs
  • Excellent communications skills – both verbal and writing in English
  • Highly organized, adheres to deadlines, must be comfortable with dealing ambiguity
  • Ability to make decisions with limited information using risk assessment
  • Has entrepreneur mindset and willingness to get involved in all aspects of projects
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Able to manage a highly driven team in fast pace settings
  • Strong executive presence, display of leadership
  • Demonstrated success in convincing management at a senior level
  • Influencing externally in the semiconductor industry with close contacts in the value chain
  • Ability to manage complex projects
  • Keen eye on the latest technology trends and customer roadmaps
  • Frequent international travel 30~50%
