  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title: MSSQL Server DBA

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Undertake solution design and engineering of reusable IT services, to provide business value across multiple programmes and initiatives.
  • Provide technical consulting and advice to projects to ensure alignment to IT&T strategy, architectures, and utilisation of standardised IT services
  • Practice engineering principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programmes
  • Analyse a wide range of technical data within systems and processes, to anticipate and address problems, or identify improvement opportunities
  • Identify and mitigate issues or risks associated with design or solution proposals
  • Facilitate and contribute to transitioning target architecture from current to desired state
  • Provide feedback on effectiveness of target solution architecture, including any comments that impact or change the target solution architecture and standards

Essential skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in MSSQL Database Administration (SQL Server 2005 – SQL Server 2022)
  • 5+ years of experience in Database Developer (T-SQL)
  • 3+ years of administration experience on SQL Server DBA in Public cloud (preferably AWS).
  • 3+ years of experience in Scripting/Programming skills (PowerShell, Yaml, Python)
  • 2+ years of experience in DEVOPS tools like Ansible / Github
  • Ability to perform deep analysis on infrastructure (OS, network, storage)
  • Windows Server Failover Cluster experience, thorough understanding of Availability Groups
  • Needs to be able to work independently to work towards the goals of the team.
  • Expert knowledge in OLTP and Linked Servers including how to secure them.
  • Expert understanding of SQL Server security at both server and database levels.

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
