You will play a key role in supporting the jobs and skills pillar under the Industry Transformation Map (ITM) for the sector under your purview. This includes:

Stakeholder Engagement and Management

  • Outreach to companies to promote the adoption of WSG programmes and progressive human resource practices to address their manpower needs.

  • Engage companies from business development perspective, with a growth strategy of outreaching and onboarding new companies to add on to the list of account managed companies.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders.

  • Engage strategic company accounts to diagnose gaps and identify opportunities.

  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders including government agencies, associations, tripartite partners, programme partners to develop and implement relevant manpower interventions to address industry manpower issues.

  • Consult with employers to promote adoption of WSG programmes and progressive human resource practices to address their manpower needs.

Strategic Manpower Planning

  • Identify and assess key industry, manpower challenges and skills needs.

  • Manage and collaborate with strategic partners and engage companies to diagnose gaps and identify opportunities.

  • Recommend the design of appropriate strategic human capital solutions based on industry or companies’ business and manpower needs.

  • Support the Industry Transformation Map (ITM) – Jobs and Skills Pillar, and Jobs Transformation Map (JTM).

Project Management

  • Plan and review budget requirements and ensure compliance to policies and processes.

  • Organise or support outreach and marketing events, career events and industry engagements.

  • Track programmes’ progress and analyse industry related information to evaluate and make recommendations for management decision making.

[What we are looking for]

- At least two (2) years of working experience in industry engagement/ business development/account management is preferred.
  • Salary will commensurate with experience.

You should possess the following skill sets:

  • Industry Engagement and Business Development : Capable of developing and maintaining strong engagement and relationships within the industry of various profiles (from C-suites to grassroots) and utilizing trend analysis and government initiatives to drive business strategies and growth.

  • Negotiation : Able to strategize negotiation, formulate gameplan and engage in complex discussion to drive collaboration and implementation with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Communication : Proficient in writing clear submissions and reports, and able to frame appropriate narratives to effectively engage diverse audiences, and also skilled in public speaking.

  • Personal effectiveness : Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and work both independently and in teams.

  • Critical thinking : Able to compile, analyse, and interpret data to recommend data backed decisions and program monitoring.

  • Consulting Advisory and Innovative Solutioning : Capable of diagnosing gaps and identify opportunities for businesses and innovative solutions to enhance business processes.
