The Public Policy and Global Affairs Programme, School of Social Sciences, invites applications for part-time lecturers (PTLs). We are looking for PTLs who can contribute to teaching (conducting seminars, lectures, tutorials and assessment) in our Programme, particularly in these areas:
- Political Theory (including but not limited to the history of political thought, contemporary political theory, non-Western political theory, analytic political thought)
- Public Policy or Public Administration (including but not limited to public policy and administration in Singapore and Asia, policy implementation, AI and governance, sustainability)
- Environmental governance
- Civil society
- Gender and development
- Ethics and Civics
- Comparative politics
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop course materials and syllabus
- Conduct seminars/lectures/tutorials
- Develop assessments for the course
- Grade course assignments (including tests, quizzes, exam scripts)
- Invigilate the final examination.
- Handle all student queries on course related matter
- Work with the Head of Division to ensure smooth and timely course delivery
Qualification and requirement:
- A least a PhD in social sciences, specialisation in a political science subfield will be an advantage
- Prior tutoring/lecturing experience will be an advantage
- Able to teach and invigilate during office hours
