The Senior Group Accountant, located in Singapore, provides both operational and pragmatic support to the Synagie Group operations across the Southeast region and participates in regional initiatives as required.

As a Senior Group Accountant, you will be primarily responsible to perform Group Consolidation and Reporting, General ledger accounting and transactional AR/AP duties along with assisting the Finance Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss. Equipped with enthusiasm and skills, you will:

Key responsibilities

  • Provide support to Group consolidation, accounting and reporting
  • Provide accounting guidance and support to the region
  • Provide support to ad-hoc requests on reporting requirements across the region
  • Work closely with other departments and stakeholders within the Company and provide relevant support to the business as Finance representative.
  • Manage working capital requirements for the Company that involves billing and cash collections from customers and managing payments to vendors.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and reports to facilitate the decision-making process and ensure success of the corporation.
  • Ensure adequate controls are in place, i.e. policies, procedures.
  • Ensure financial accounting close is on time and accurate.
  • Provide timely monthly and quarterly information and analysis for the Singapore Group Finance team.
  • Provide analysis of cash flow, operating costs and variances
  • Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Possess 2-3 years of audit assurance experience, preferably in the Big 4 Accounting firm
  • Have at 2-3 years of relevant working experience in AR/AP and GL
  • Great working attitude with an agile mindset
  • Team player
  • Possess great communication skills with all stakeholders and a strong command of English language
  • Are passionate about numbers, trends, and financial reporting
  • Are detail oriented with strong sense of work prioritization and time management
  • Are proficient in Microsoft office and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software
  • Can work independently and able to work with people across all levels
  • Must be eligible to work in Singapore
