Part-Time Lecturer for MC6365 Data-Driven Behavioural Approaches to Sustainable Communication

We are seeking a part time lecturer to teach the course, Data-Driven Behavioural Approaches to Sustainable Communication. The course is offered in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information's Master of Media and Communication (MMC) programme. This course is to deepen students’ understanding of advanced sustainability concepts like the SDGs and ESG criteria, and their strategic application in global communication.

This course aims to equip aspiring leaders across sectors with leadership skills to drive sustainable change through effective communication strategies and gain valuable insights in applying behavioural science theories, conducting research specific to sustainable communication, and developing leadership capabilities crucial for influencing policy and advancing sustainable practices.

The preferred candidate should have either experience teaching at the graduate/undergraduate level or relevant industry experience and have knowledge of the topics covered in the course. The course format consists of a three-hour weekly session that comprises lectures, tutorials and/or seminar discussions.

The course format consists of a total of 39 hours of instruction that comprises lectures, tutorials and/or seminar discussions and in-class activities. The instructor will be responsible for leading the class lessons in addition to syllabus planning, class preparation, marking for assessment and student consultation.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or higher; a PhD holder is preferred.
  • Background in research, sustainability, behavioural sciences or related discipline is strongly preferred.
