[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer in the School of Humanties & Social Sciences.
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer in the School of Humanties & Social Sciences.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Curriculum development, course delivery (face-to-face/online) and project supervision for youth and adult learners in the following areas:
Eldercare
Health & Ageing
Longevity literacy and planning
Care Planning
- Lead and identify new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with the industry, institutes of higher learnings & related agencies
- Keep abreast with latest trends and developments in the areas of eldercare
- Handle administrative work relating to teaching and assigned projects
- Supervise students during internships
- Be up to date with the latest developments in the eldercare sector, in the areas of technology, community solutioning and care planning
[What we are looking for]
Relevant tertiary qualification in Gerontology or equivalent
Direct experience and keen interest in eldercare
Experience in teaching communications related subjects and/or have IT skills will be an advantage
An agile team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Project/time management and attention to detail
