As a Finance Business Partner, you will support GovTech's Vision by partnering closely with all stakeholders to ensure Financial Sustainability and Operational Excellence through a Good Governance process. The Finance Business Partner team creates a real and active partnership with business units and the management, be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist business units in decision making.

What you will be working on:


Partner divisions / project teams in funding requests, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and 3-year projections through:

1. Partner divisions to ensure month/year-end close activities such as accruals are being performed timely
2. Detail monitoring and analysis of operating revenue, expenses and capital expenditure utilisation against budget and funding source
3. Prepare and present financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variances to stakeholders including recommendations, highlight key variance, area of improvements where necessary
4. Provide financial insight to business unit for timely decision making
5. Partner division and project team on monthly forecasts, annual budgets, revised budget submission including presentation to stakeholders for approval and recommend moderation where necessary
6. Monitor fixed and variable costs to clearly understand cost drivers and improve budget marksmanship
7. Review and provide input on financial related matters for funding request, quarterly project reporting and end of project reporting
8. Ensure compliance of company policies, accounting standards, IMs and Government polices
9. Ongoing engagement with business unit to stay updated on business developments
10. Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationship with business unit
11. Undertake ad hoc projects and analysis work or any other duties assigned when required
    
    
    

What we are looking for:

1. Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or a relevant professional accounting qualification with at least 8 years of experience. Prior experience in Finance Business Partner and Technology company is preferred
2. Sophisticated presentation and storytelling skills – build insightful presentation and effectively communicate business narrative to influence and become a trusted business partner
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships, stakeholder management, communicate effectively across all levels. and strong in problem-solving
4. Good problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively “outside the box” and have strong business acumen
5. Positive, can-do attitude, meticulous, able to work with large amount of data and do hands-on task
6. Proficient in Workday, Dashboarding tools and Microsoft Office such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau. Programming knowledge will be an advantage
7. Ability to adapt and working in a fast paced, rapid changing environment and comfortable in proposing, justifying, initiating, and implementing change
