We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and optimizing algorithms for the generation of synthetic RNAs. This role involves a strong emphasis on computational biology, algorithm development, and the application of machine learning techniques to simulate RNA sequences and structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and optimize algorithms for generating synthetic RNA sequences with specific properties.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate these algorithms into our synthetic biology platform.
Analyze large datasets to validate the accuracy and efficiency of generated synthetic RNAs.
Work closely with experimental biologists to design in silico RNA sequences that can be tested in the lab.
Contribute to the development of software tools that assist in the design and simulation of synthetic RNAs.
Stay updated with the latest research and technological advancements in the field of RNA biology and synthetic biology.
Document research findings and present them at internal meetings and external conferences.
Requirements:
A Master or Bachelor degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Synthetic Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or C++.
Experience with RNA sequence analysis, algorithm development, or machine learning is preferred.
Familiarity with RNA secondary structure prediction and synthetic biology principles is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
