We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic baking apprentice to join us. As an assistant baker, you will work closely with our head baker to prepare a wide range of baked goods and assist in the smooth operation of the bakery. The right attitude, passion for baking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Baking Preparation: Assist in preparing doughs, batters, fillings, and other ingredients required for the production of baked goods, following established recipes and procedures.
Baking Operations: Work under the guidance of senior bakers to operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough dividers to ensure accurate and efficient production of baked goods.
Product Assembly: Assist in shaping, moulding, and assembling various types of baked goods, including bread, cakes, and more, while maintaining consistent quality and presentation standards.
Cleaning and Sanitation: Follow strict sanitation and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and organised work environment, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including bakers, pastry chefs, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth workflow, timely production, and efficient operation of the bakery.
Qualifications:
Some kitchen or baking experience will be preferred
Food hygiene certification
Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, taking direction from supervisors and contributing to a positive work atmosphere.
Working hours (subject to changes depending on operations):
5.5 day work week (shift work)
Required to work on Weekends and Public Holidays
Compensation package:
$2,300 - $2,800 (depending on experience)
Transport allowance provided
14 days AL
14 days medical leave with MC
13-month bonus
