Meranti Power Pte. Ltd. (MP), a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is continuing to recruit additional new staff to supplement and manage, test and commission and operate the new power generating stations on Jurong Island. We are currently in the project construction stage of the new power generation station.

We are inviting applicants for this position to work with our appointed Consultants to prepare and oversee the subsequent facility management operations and Defects Liability Period (DLP) whilst concurrently assisting the project team to ensure project delivery within time and budget.

Warehouse Manager shall report to the Head, Supply Chain:

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

  • This position is part of the Supply Chain Group providing procurement and warehouse services to relevant domains. He/ She shall support the Head of Supply Chain in ensuring Warehousing operations is managed in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance to applicable Meranti Power policies, industry standards and compliant with international, national and local workplace legislation.
  • Materials demand planning which looks at Materials on Time/In Full, inventory optimization, maximizing value on surplus and dormant inventory through a robust investment recovery program and ensuring inventory accounting /valuation is up to date and accurate.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

The incumbent shall undertake the following activities:

  • Transform our warehouse operations across our site in Singapore Jurong Island.
  • Oversee receiving, storage management, material handling, goods receipt and good issuance which are part of warehousing scope.
  • Set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization.​
  • Develop and implement warehouse policy.
  • Develop the annual operating plan/budget and manage spend to plan for warehousing.
  • Work closely with Finance to develop annual capital programs for our warehouse infrastructures.
  • Prepare annual budget, reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, stock report).​
  • Managing Warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision​
  • Responsible for developing fit for purpose warehouse and inbound material metrics to measure performance.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement opportunities
  • Responsible for managing the replenishment of stocks as well as the sourcing for critical equipment for our sites
  • Responsible for the safety performance for warehousing operations.
  • Lead Warehouse Department; Accountable for personal development team and contractor staff.
  • You will be required to interface and work with/through many stakeholders and is required to demonstrate mastery in communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Perform any other tasks or participate in special projects as assigned by reporting manager.
  • Managing Warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision​
  • Play a key role and accountable for warehouse audit compliance
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security​
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system​

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or other relevant field of study.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in warehousing, preferably power related infrastructure such as power plants.
  • Preferably possess forklift license
  • At least 5 years in team leadership roles
  • Experience leading through radical change
  • Commercially Savvy
  • Strong Communication and Stakeholder Management skills
  • Relevant experience in Inbound Materials Management
  • Exposure in new setup organisation to establish Warehouse Policy and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”).
  • Maintain warehousing documentation and report to Reporting Officer (“RO”) promptly should any nonconformances be discovered.
  • Experience in overseeing the power plants worksite’s adherence to Workplace Safety & Health, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Self‐motivated, results focused and willing to work under tight schedules with multi‐disciplinary teams.
  • Willing to work in construction site office during construction stage and Jurong Island
