Client is a mid-sized financial institution, currently looking for their CFO, who will be a finance leader with the ability to deliver high-impact financial leadership at every level of their business. They are looking for a creative, growth-oriented leader who can take ownership, dive deep into their financial operations, and make decisions that matter.

Responsibilities

  • Own Financial Strategy: Own financial roadmap and make sure it’s directly tied to business outcomes. You’ll partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop ambitious goals, drive financial results, and ensure the company’s sustainable growth.
  • Deliver Results: Lead end-to-end financial planning, analysis and operations with a focus on impact. Your decisions will drive performance, profitability, and efficiency across business units.
  • Manage Risk: Mitigate risks intelligently without compromising growth, ensuring a balanced approach to risk and reward.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards but never let bureaucracy slow us down. Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, audits, and insightful and actionable management reports.
  • Lead Talented People: Build and lead a high-performing finance team that runs on data and a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize for Growth: Optimize our capital structure and funding strategies to support business expansion and operational needs. Lead relationships with investors, and financial institutions. Leverage technology to create processes that scale.
  • Obsess over Customers: Focus relentlessly on delivering exceptional value to our customers. Our financial strategy and decisions must drive customer success, reduce friction, and develop long-term customer loyalty.

Who You Are:

  • Proven Experience: >10 years in progressively senior finance roles, with a track record of delivering results in high growth organizations. You’ve had at least 5 years’ experience leading teams in a dynamic environment, preferably within finance, technology or FMCG sectors, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Financial Acumen: You’ve a strong background in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and risk management. Experience in capital markets, fundraising, and investor relations is a plus.
  • Tech and Automation Savvy: You’re always looking for ways to do things better, faster, and smarter. You’re familiar with modern technologies, digital tools, and platforms to drive innovation and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CA, CFA, or degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in the finance and insurance sectors.
