The Role
We are looking to add an experienced Senior Associate or Associate Vice President to our Singapore team to help our growth efforts in the APAC region.
Experience:
- Min 4-6 years of IB / sell side M&A experience & having closed M&A transactions in the past
- Experience in Technology, Fintech, Tech Services, Healthcare
Skills:
- Strong written & oral communication skills
- Strong accounting and financial skills with a proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques
- Proficient in preparation of Information Memorandums, Pitches and Teasers
- Ability to multi-task and guide a junior team on executing multiple mandates timely with minimal supervision
- Ability to negotiate offers, deal structures, transaction documents (and key issues) involved in an M&A process
- Team player & ability to work in a globally dispersed team
- Flexibility to travel across APAC
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Conversant with databases like S&P, CapIQ and Pitchbook
- Passion for Investment Banking
Responsibilities:
Origination
- Take an active part in business development efforts of the team by participating in origination activity and making client pitches
- Carry out extensive industry / company research and target data required for identification and assessment of possible mandates
Execution
- Responsible to execute transactions end to end including the preparation of Pitches, Information Memorandums and Financial Models
- Lead weekly calls with the client on deal execution
- Supporting/guiding a team of analysts and associates
- Doing target and acquirer screening
- Participate in management/buyer meetings, handle Q&As and negotiate offers
- Assistance in drafting and evaluating various legal documents like NDAs, etc.,
- Facilitation of buyer and seller interactions (organizing roadshows, conference calls, etc.,)
- Drafting meeting preparatory notes, management questionnaire, etc.,
- Manage the due diligence and transaction documentation process
