PURPOSE

  • Agency & FA Training & Development – This role to Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy for designing Groupwide training and development frameworks for FWD’s group wide Agency & FA distribution channels targeting Agency Executives and all segments of agents and IFA partners with a focus on professionalism, productivity and quality.
  • Leader Development – Develop learning and development programs for Agency Executives, Agency leaders and IFA principals to elevate our Agency and FA channels to ensure that FWD has the best-in-class leaders in the industry who adopt coaching, joint fieldwork and activity management as core disciplines in Agency and FA management
  • Learning & Development Strategy – Design and develop a segmented learning and development strategy and roadmap for Agency Executives, all segments of leaders and agents across all FWD markets.
  • Group & LBU Stakeholder management – This role is a core part of Group Agency & FA team and will need to partner closely with Group functions and LBU teams to support overall Group Distribution & Proposition business objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Learning & Development leadership – Lead groupwide Learning & Development resources to design and implement Agency training and development strategies and roadmap
  • Training Frameworks and Curriculum design – Establish and develop Group learning frameworks and guide LBUs to design and implement Agency & IFA partner learning and development curriculum and training roadmaps adapted to training segments
  • Training Execution – Partner with LBUs to identify and execute initiatives and programs to increase agent and leader quality, professionalism and productivity
  • Champion the use of innovative training methodologies, identify and develop new learning development opportunities to support the Agency strategic priorities.
  • Cross Functional leadership – Lead cross-function initiatives to continuously design and implement training strategies to increase agency and IFA partner productivity
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency leaders to understand their training needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Learning Analytics - Monitor and review Agency & FA channel performance, and provide timely analytics, business insights and strategic guidance and tactical support to deliver business targets
  • Stakeholder Management – Collaborate with Group Distribution & Propositions and other Group Office stakeholders to deliver groupwide strategic plans for Agency & FA channels
  • Onsite training & development – Provide onsite training to Agency & IFA channels as requested
  • Best practice sharing – Facilitate best practices sharing across countries and build up leadership and performance management capabilities for LBUs
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in training and development to continuously enhance our agency training programs, including digital and interactive training modules, to support the continuous growth and upskilling of the agency force.
  • To enhance knowledge of agency to manage operational risks, as well as be key influencers to digital-related skills upgrade and tools adoption

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • University degree or above majoring in Business, Commerce, Actuarial, or equivalent
  • At least 10 years' leadership experience and track record in life insurance sector; Leadership of a distribution training function, managing an Agency or IFA channel in an Asian market is a plus
  • Experience in designing and developing Agency Training and Leadership development programs
  • Competencies in Agency and IFA management with deep knowledge in agency training and education
  • Experience and knowledge in industry agency and IFA training and development models
  • High standard of business ethics

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Understanding of the insurance industry, including current and emerging business models
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with strong business acumen
  • Strong communication skill, influential e and persuasive, particularly with C-level stakeholders
  • Demonstrate maturity and possesses transformational mindset and keen awareness of corporate dynamics and HQs environment.
  • Able and willing to work independently and act as team lead in a cross-functional environment.
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies, framework, and standards.
