We seek an experienced and driven individual to support the Head of Fulfilment and Operations in overseeing the successful execution of a wide range of executive education programmes and events. This one-year contract (renewable depending on work performance) vice president role offers the opportunity to manage high-profile events and collaborate with a passionate team, all while contributing to the continued growth of a non-profit Company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write and present project proposals, speakers' schedules, and plans according to the client's business objectives.
- Execute Executive Education programmes and events flawlessly.
- Assist in developing event plans, budgets, and timelines with the project team, ensuring smooth event delivery.
- Engage with vendors, support contract negotiations, and manage agreements with suppliers, sponsors, and service providers.
- Coordinate the delivery of resources, including transportation, accommodation, and catering, as per event needs.
- Oversee end-to-end programme operations including venue sourcing, securing third-party costs, layout design, branding, on-site management, and logistical arrangements.
- Provide on-site support for programmes, addressing issues and ensuring activities adhere to the plan.
- Monitor budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Post-event evaluation and identify areas for improvement.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Degree in Events Management, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field.
- More than 10 years of experience in programme management, with a proven track record of delivering successful experiences for clients.
- Strong experience in proposal preparation and delivering impactful presentations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in all aspects of programme execution.
- Must possess the ability to embrace ambiguity; be self-motivated, independent, and able to perform tasks with minimum supervision; have a positive can-do attitude and be a team player.
- An enquiring mind; the incumbent should be an out-of-the-box thinker who is not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom to create new knowledge that is relevant in today’s fast-evolving marketplace.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with line as well as senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a flat organization with minimal hierarchy, the incumbent must be passionate about the non-profit sector, and be a self-starter and doer.
