Job Description
  • Execute our Formative Minds’ curriculum (~10 to 12 classes lessons per week, 2 hours per class)
  • Deliver lessons according to Formative Mind’s teaching and curriculum standards to ensure high quality of student learning
  • Record and input students’ milestone check quizzes results into our proprietary data-analytics platform
  • Monitor and analyse class and students’ learning through prompt feedback (written/verbal), data analysis, and grading of students’ work
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with students and parents; provide regular updates to parents on students’ performance and progress
  • Provide support and ideas towards the improvement, planning and development of curriculum
  • Contribute actively in team meetings
  • Create and maintain a safe and conducive learning environment for students
  • Provide coverage for teachers who are unable to take their assigned class due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Other ad-hoc duties such as work on educational projects or events
  • Perform all administrative and other duties as assigned
  • Able to work at least 1 weekend
Management Associate Programme (for selected teaching staff)
  • The Management Associate Programme is designed to allow teaching staff to develop themselves beyond being a teacher into a more holistic business facing professional
  • Selected teaching staff with aspirations to develop their career as management will have the opportunity to join our Management Associate Programme
  • Management Associates will have the opportunity to rotate across different departments including but not limited to Business Development, Branch Excellence, Customer Excellence, Human Resource, Marketing, Technology, and Finance.
  • Teaching load will be calibrated for teaching staff who are enrolled into this programme
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Graduate from a local university (NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD) preferred
  • At least 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience (preferred)
  • Familiar with the local Singapore school curriculum
  • Passion for teaching and nurturing young minds
  • Willingness to learn and adapt different practices
  • Positive, resilient self-starter with strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
