The Director of Global Supply Chain oversees all procurement, warehousing, and logistics functions, requiring robust strategic leadership to achieve cost savings while ensuring quality and service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers in the Food and Beverage, Hotel, and Hospitality sectors.
  • Lead global sourcing initiatives and negotiate contracts.
  • Transition a country-led supply chain to a global model.
  • Implement best practices in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
  • Develop strategies for key commodities to optimize costs while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Monitor spending to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Enhance the skills and commercial acumen of the procurement team.
  • Create annual procurement plans in partnership with department heads.
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain policies and procedures.
  • Establish KPI reporting to assess supply chain performance.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and seek standardization opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer-facing industries such as F&B, Hospitality, Entertainment, Travel/Tourism, Retail, Healthcare or a related field is REQUIRED.
  • Preferred experience in procurement managing diverse commodity groups, short shelf life items, and high volumes of daily purchase requisitions.
  • Extensive sourcing experience in Asia is advantageous.
  • Global procurement experience or experience in a shared service environment is a plus.
  • Proven ability to recruit and develop a large Supply Chain team.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills, with the capacity to solve practical problems in data-limited situations.
  • Adaptable and responsive to change.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through new business processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a deep understanding of cost drivers.
  • Experience in forecasting within a consumer products environment.
  • Diverse experience in Supply Chain management and strategic sourcing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years in supply chain, including at least five years in a management role.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPM or CPSM are desirable.
  • This position is a relocation posting in a South Asian Country - relocation packages will be provided.
  • High level of English, second Asian language is an advantage.
