- Responsible in up keeping, monitoring and maintaining of Landscape, Horticulture, Pest Control and Cleaning related maintenance works;
- Support in the planning and updating of the Campus Greenery Master Plan;
- Design and implementation of minor landscaping projects;
- Review of landscape designs for implementation on campus;
- Supervise contractors to ensure maintenance works are carried out on schedule;
- Liaise with NParks, NEA and any other relevant government agencies;
- Attend to feedback and complaints and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on landscape related matters;
- Maintain tree and planting records including the update of tree inventory in Geographic Information System (GIS);
- Work together with key stakeholders in the community to drive sustainability programmes and engagement activities;
- Carry out procurement of goods and services for maintenance and improvement works based on the University’s procurement policy including preparation of requirement specifications, evaluation and drafting the recommendation report;
- Manage the contract administration process including meeting contractual obligations, specification reviews and timely verification & payment of term contract and ad hoc Invoices including verifying works done;
- Conduct system audit and site inspections;
- Provide advice and support for University research or academic projects, when required;
- Preparation of management reports and tracking of KPIs;
- Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Science or equivalent;
- Accredited Certified Arborist or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience, preferably in institutional, educational, research or large scale commercial developments;
- Passionate in driving greenery and sustainability initiatives and experience in sustainability programmes will be an added advantage.
- Conversant in Microsoft Office, Photoshop and AutoCAD. Ability to use 3D perspective drawing software such as Sketch-up will be an added advantage;
- Good writing and communication skills with the ability to engage and interact effectively with all stakeholders within and outside the organisation;
