Responsibilities:

  • Conduct macro environmental research, including global new data center, AI, energy/critical infrastructure policies, technological trends, and market dynamics, and translate these into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Engage with various industry specialists to maintain an advanced understanding of the latest developments across key interest areas that relates to Vertiv’s products and solutions
  • Build a methodology in data gathering and research to build up a catalogue of direct and indirect trends that relates to Vertiv’s current marketplaces, with a longer-term outlook for understanding and ascertaining new/emerging markets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draw out customer intelligence to augment our market intelligence information and outlook from Vertiv’s perspective
  • Through primary and secondary research, along with intuit industry and competitor sensing, develop comprehensive findings and offer strategic recommendations
  • Have a proven ability to see the high-level strategic picture in complex evidence and able to condense multifaceted issues into clear and concise messages.
  • Support Strategic Communications and Marketing with critical inputs to drive brand awareness in line with the strategic roadmap of Vertiv’s products and reputation building.

To qualify you must have:

  • You are degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Economics, Business, Engineering etc.) and have at least 5 years' experience in a medium to large technology, industrial or similar organization, or from a renowned research and consulting firm of similar field
  • You understand the big picture, which enables you to analyse and form clear, coherent conclusions from a variety of data and information.
  • You find it easy to communicate complex or technical information and delivering messages that are easily understood.
  • You have a high understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products. You may have advanced skills utilizing these products or programming languages.
  • You are thoughtful, intellectually curious, creative and comfortable presenting to public audiences and interacting with small groups of senior management and executives.
  • You have the ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as a liaison
  • You have strong strategic mindset, evaluating industry trends, developing long-term implications, and recommending pragmatic strategies for new business opportunities, portfolio optimization, and technology disruption
  • You are deep analytical rigor to bring structure to ill-defined problems and intellectual leadership to problem solving; synthesize insights from analysis and ensure credible, actionable recommendations
