Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of technical proposals for by conducting site assessments, creating detailed drawings, and estimating project PV capacity and associated costs.
  • Create comprehensive design specifications and functional requirements tailored to project needs.
  • Deliver complete system designs for solar PV projects, including site plans, mechanical racking, electrical schematics, and system interconnection details.
  • Analyze factors impacting PV system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team to monitor system performance, drive optimizations, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct software simulations of solar PV system performance and energy production.
  • Perform key design calculations, including voltage drop analysis, fault current assessments, and system optimization strategies.
  • Ensure all designs comply with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Provide engineering support during project execution, including on-site guidance.
  • Work closely with contractors, reviewing and approving engineering drawings and maintaining strict quality control standards.


The Successful Applicant

Qualifications And Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Solar PV system design and engineering.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, capable of addressing complex challenges and driving innovation.
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude and a commitment to collective success.
  • Adaptable, with a keen interest in learning and applying new technologies and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in solar design software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Homer, and Helioscope.
