Key Responsibilities

As a Community Integrity Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of community integrity across BandLab's platform. Your responsibilities will focus on fostering a positive and respectful environment, proactively refining policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold our community guidelines, ensuring a supportive space for all creators.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Refine Community Guidelines: Continuously review and enhance our community guidelines, ensuring they remain relevant and aligned with global legal frameworks, music industry regulations, and evolving public policies.
  • Monitor & Assess Risks: Identify potential risks in community behaviour, proactively report issues to key stakeholders, and coordinate with moderation teams to resolve them.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of community interactions, assessing the effectiveness of our policies and procedures, identifying gaps in policy execution, and proposing actionable solutions.
  • Training & Development: Develop training materials and sessions for internal teams to align on community integrity standards, legal implications, and best practices for handling sensitive issues.
  • Escalation Management: Manage sensitive escalation processes, working closely with law enforcement and legal teams where necessary. Ensure that responses are timely and considered to protect both users and the platform.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Public Policy, Law, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in community management, public policy, or a related role. Experience working with law enforcement or in roles requiring sensitive escalation processes is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of regional legal frameworks, with the ability to translate public policy into actionable community guidelines. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and risk-assessment skills.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work cross-functionally with teams, including product, support, and legal, ensuring the seamless execution of community integrity initiatives.
  • Passion for Music and Community: A deep appreciation for music and its ability to unite people. Experience in music-related fields or platforms is a plus.
