Your Mission:

As our Wellness Counsellor, your primary mission is to support secondary school students in their pursuit of emotional and social well-being. You will:

  • Provide Individual and Group Support: Conduct individual and group sessions with students to help them cope with emotional and social challenges. Through active listening and collaborative goal-setting, you will guide students towards personal growth and resilience.
  • Empower Through Education: Organize workshops and preventive actions on topics such as mindfulness, stress management, social integration, and more. You’ll also advise educational teams to better support students in need.
  • Foster Community Well-Being: Work closely with our Students care team, school psychologists, teachers and nurses to create a safe and inclusive environment for all students. You’ll also support staff members by offering sessions on personal and professional well-being.
  • Support Families: Advise parents and organize workshops to equip them with tools and knowledge to support their children’s emotional and social development.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate professional with a Master’s degree in psychotherapy or psychology, specializing in adolescent therapy.
  • Experienced in working with families and adolescents, with supervised therapeutic work in a school setting.
  • Bilingual in French and English, to connect with our diverse community.
  • Proficient in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or other therapeutic approaches tailored to adolescents.
  • A collaborative spirit, eager to work within a multidisciplinary team to create a holistic support system for our students.
  • Ethical in balancing between preserving confidentiality and sharing necessary information with the school leaders and guardians as well rigorous in keeping all records in our Safeguarding system CPOMS.
